There are different types of wounds and each wound is different. Some wounds are considered dry, others are too moist. In general, if the wound is too dry, a moist wound dressing is appropriate. In other cases, if the wound is too moist, it is important to select a dressing that will absorb the extra moisture. The goal is to keep a moist wound bed that is not too dry or too wet.
